Electrical Projects Manager

To work on a £40M M&E project in Manchester with a Mechanical Project Manager already in situ.

My client is looking for a suitable candidate that will be titled a Senior Electrical Projects Manager. Ideally the role would suit someone in a similar capacity; however my client is also interested to hear from aspiring candidates currently in the role of Senior Electrical Engineer.

The job is due to run until 2011 and the client has already identified another scheme that is due to commence in 2012 that they would expect to transfer all of the staff from this project over to, givng assurances of ongoing work to at least 2016!

The job holder would head up the Electrical phase of the project worth in excess of £20M. Experience of multi million pound projects in essential and knowledge of hospitals is highly desirable.

You will be responsible for heading up the entire Electrical Team, and will manage all technical and commercial aspects of the electrical installation.

Key results areas include ensuring that operations on site are carried out in a safe manner and that the company's business procedures are followed in carrying out the construction project.

In addition the job holder would be required to maintain good relationships with the Trust.

Suitable candidates ideally will possess a minimum of 10 years previous contracting experience as a senior Projects Manager / Engineer, with strong evidence of supervisory and people management experience.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate competence in deadline management, management of customer satisfaction, budget / cost management, decision making and team working.
