A little about us
I started at Hay Montrose in 1998 recruiting for trades and labour hire, around the time Manchester City Centre was starting to transform the area around the bottom of the Arndale, the Shambles and St Ann’s Square. By 2003 I had recruited for some of the most recognised projects in the North West, including the Printworks, The Arndale, the Shambles, Cheshire Oaks and the Trafford Centre to name but a few.
In 2003 I formed an M&E contracting division for Anders Elite in Manchester and I have evolved my M&E knowledge since then.
I opened the doors of Mech Electrics in April 2007; survived the global recession, forged some incredibly strong relationships with some amazing clients and candidates and feel the company is in an excellent position moving forward.
Outside of work I am married to Susie and we have two young boys to keep us on our toes! I do a lot of work for a charity called Reuben’s Retreat, (www.reubensretreat.org) in 2015 I completed Tenby Ironman for the charity and in 2016 have the absolute honour to run the London Marathon to raise money for the charity.
Lesley joined Mech Electrics in 2013. Prior to joining Lesley worked for the Manchester Evening News as Group Head of on line sales.
Lesley initially worked with Angus resourcing Building Services Candidates and generally gaining an insight into recruitment. By mid 2014, Lesley had herself formed relationships with some key individuals, opened the door to a new set of clients and also forged her way into a completely new work stream in aviation recruitment.
Lesley has become a stand a lone recruiter, running her own desk and is excelling!
Off work Lesley is a mum and an avid runner and book reader / writer!
Simply put, we know our market place, we have an excellent base of long standing clients; we know what our candidates do for a job because we have recruited solely in engineering for so long and we very much believe we do a good job. Often is the case that our placements become recruiters, they’re happy how we worked on their behalf and want to continue the relationship helping bring others to the company as and when required.
