Good recruitment first and foremost

Mech Electrics, have been in business for almost a decade specialising in engineering placements.

We recruit at all levels with the majority of our clients and relish the opportunity to work on behalf of excellent companies.

By fulfilling all roles asked of us, we are seen as a partner and not just a recruitment company who is called on to fill the odd role here and there.

Recruitment is our passion and we believe, with close contact with our clients, we can successfully fill any vacancy required.

A lot of the clients that we work with have been with us for the duration of our existence, as we ensure we provide a quality service. We rarely fill just one position with a company, our experiences to date demonstrate we partner with companies and ensure we are the recruitment agency of choice.

We only provide vetted, referenced candidates and are always enthusiastic about learning as much information about our employer’s business as possible.

We meet candidates, on site, over a coffee, at the office, we know a lot of the people we place, they know us, they know our attitude towards recruitment and we truly believe we offer them a unique experience, above all else we hope to give candidates of some of the best vacancies in engineering.

Mech Electrics recruiters are industry leaders in their chosen field, although we have a lot of experience to date we make sure we are far from complacent with our own knowledge base and skill sets. We ensure we are up to date with the industry, changes in legislation, changes in technology, development of new techniques, our up to date knowledge ensures we can challenge candidates on their own development to ensure they are the best at what they do.

Mech Electrics recruits Nationwide for the following sectors:

Building Services

Our Clients

Good companies, quality projects, great long term prospects and generally very good folk.

Our clients are generally well known, well respected and will be the ones you are interested to work for. We don’t just work for the national corporate companies, we work with the small family run independents, the specialist companies, this allows candidates to utilise their skills sets to the maximum and also offers them the chance to continue with their professional development.

We’ve grown to know our client network extremely well, we have a great deal of clients who know they can call us whenever and discuss their current workloads and staff / contractor shortfalls. Knowing them so well helps gain exclusivity on vacancies, we have the time to utilise our network and available resources to find the best candidates.

By taking the right amount of time with a vacancy it gives the client and candidate the best possible chance of finding the right person and the right role and to us this is what makes recruitment both successful and rewarding.

Our people

A little about us

Angus Eddowes

I started at Hay Montrose in 1998 recruiting for trades and labour hire, around the time Manchester City Centre was starting to transform the area around the bottom of the Arndale, the Shambles and St Ann’s Square. By 2003 I had recruited for some of the most recognised projects in the North West, including the Printworks, The Arndale, the Shambles, Cheshire Oaks and the Trafford Centre to name but a few.

In 2003 I formed an M&E contracting division for Anders Elite in Manchester and I have evolved my M&E knowledge since then.

I opened the doors of Mech Electrics in April 2007; survived the global recession, forged some incredibly strong relationships with some amazing clients and candidates and feel the company is in an excellent position moving forward.

Outside of work I am married to Susie and we have two young boys to keep us on our toes! I do a lot of work for a charity called Reuben’s Retreat, (www.reubensretreat.org) in 2015 I completed Tenby Ironman for the charity and in 2016 have the absolute honour to run the London Marathon to raise money for the charity.

Lesley Herd

Lesley joined Mech Electrics in 2013. Prior to joining Lesley worked for the Manchester Evening News as Group Head of on line sales.

Lesley initially worked with Angus resourcing Building Services Candidates and generally gaining an insight into recruitment. By mid 2014, Lesley had herself formed relationships with some key individuals, opened the door to a new set of clients and also forged her way into a completely new work stream in aviation recruitment.

Lesley has become a stand a lone recruiter, running her own desk and is excelling!

Off work Lesley is a mum and an avid runner and book reader / writer!

Why Us

Simply put, we know our market place, we have an excellent base of long standing clients; we know what our candidates do for a job because we have recruited solely in engineering for so long and we very much believe we do a good job. Often is the case that our placements become recruiters, they’re happy how we worked on their behalf and want to continue the relationship helping bring others to the company as and when required.

Above all else, we like our job! We come to work to place people and we believe we do it right, we’re normal down to earth types, we’re here to help, to go over and above and to get the job done!
